Much like nature, each one of a kind works of wood comes together according to size, shape and a little imagination. The cutting and laminating process allows for each piece to be hollow and lightweight. Some pieces -- with removable tops can give you an added sense of security as it has the potential to be a safe. Sand Blasting gives these works an added look of nature, soft and hardwood is exposed and highlighted and then sealed with several coats of polyurethane with hand sanding between each coats. The last coat can be a low luster, semi-gloss, or high gloss finish. On some pieces I use a white bisque stain that gives the look of a see thru whitewash finish. Color tints can also be used. The tables and plant stands can have glass, wood, marble or solid surface tops. A great deal of effort can go into the design and construction of a piece of custom furniture. Some of my works have taken hundreds of design hours. My passion is designing unique custom pieces and seeing them come to life. I am very happy to have created a piece that reflects a unique individuals taste and style. My designs help set the mood to give a room character and interest...elegant, fun, relaxing, vibrant. My "original and distinctively different" art has been featured on a local TV station special and some pieces have been displayed at local art galleries. There are billions of people on this planet, but only a few hundred will be able to own one of these "ONE OF A KIND" pieces. It's first come ,first serve.
